As a woodworking mechanic, you assess, check and sort the wood. For processing, you operate our large computer-controlled machines and systems that debark, peel and saw the wood. But it also includes knowing how to operate a chainsaw. You get to know the raw material wood and how important nature is. There are plenty of opportunities for woodworking mechanics to specialize in the course of their professional lives. For example as a sawmill foreman, industrial foreman or technician specializing in wood. In addition, you can acquire additional qualifications such as a forklift driver's license or a crane driver's license and thus control all the necessary vehicles in the company.
